Actor Manav Gohil finds himself in disbelief over the monumental success of "Dhurandhar 2," which is achieving remarkable numbers domestically and internationally. Gohil described the current moment as still sinking in, overwhelmed by the sheer volume of congratulatory calls from Canada and North America, even surpassing his birthday responses.
His entry into the project was unexpected, occurring while he was on holiday in Mussoorie. Director Mukesh Chhabra contacted him for a role in Bangkok, and without any auditions or prior knowledge of the film, Gohil accepted, calling it a bizarre, last-minute decision.
Gohil’s preparation for his role as an intelligence officer was intensely guided by director Aditya's vision. He focused on embodying a sharp, intellectual, and composed demeanor, receiving precise direction for even subtle actions like shifting his gaze.
He lauded co-star Ranveer Singh's transformation and R Madhavan's insightful contributions, viewing Madhavan as an elder brother figure who offered significant support. The film's meticulous "peak detailing," evident in small, authentic touches, was a testament to the strong screenplay and Aditya's quirky, creative direction.
Despite being part of a film filled with powerful performances, Gohil highlighted specific scenes, including Ranveer Singh's Oscar-worthy performance and an emotional courtroom confrontation, as particularly impactful. He also noted that even cast members were surprised by plot twists, such as Rakesh Bedi's involvement.
