Summary
- Recent claims of Dhurandhar 2's rating and runtime are misleading.
- The viral certificate is for the first Dhurandhar film's TV premiere.
- Dhurandhar 2's production is ongoing, awaiting certification.

Recent claims circulating online regarding Dhurandhar 2's rating and runtime have been clarified as misleading. An industry source revealed that the certificate visible on the CBFC website is for the television premiere of the first film, not the sequel. Dhurandhar 2, which is being certified under the title Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is still in production, with shooting sequences continuing until recently.
The certification mix-up stems from the first film, Dhurandhar. Initially certified at 214 minutes, it was re-certified at 208 minutes and 56 seconds after edits due to community objections. For its television broadcast, it has been further trimmed and is now certified at 208 minutes. The rating was also changed from 'A' to 'UA 16+' for television, a standard procedure requiring edits for broadcast suitability.
Dhurandhar is slated for a television premiere on Star Gold in the first week of March, following the standard 90-day theatre-to-television window. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19.
