- Legal action planned despite the film's reported global box office success.
- Santosh Kumar RS claims his story was exploited for political propaganda.

Filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS has publicly stated his intention to pursue legal action against Aditya Dhar's recently released film, 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.' Kumar alleges that the movie, featuring Ranveer Singh, is directly based on a script he had written and officially registered in November 2023.
Kumar claims he realized the alleged script similarities only after viewing the film, which has been performing exceptionally well at the global box office, nearing the Rs 900 crore mark. He expressed dismay that his original story, intended for general entertainment, was allegedly repurposed for political propaganda, causing him significant distress.
The filmmaker has provided evidence of his script's registration with the Screenwriters Association and indicated he had previously pitched the story to various production houses, including major studios. Kumar, whose background includes directing the Kannada film 'Campus Kranti' in 2023, aims to raise awareness about his situation to prevent similar occurrences for other creators.
