Summary
- Aditya Dhar's 2016 film Raat Baaki was shelved due to Uri attack.
- Fawad Khan and Katrina Kaif were originally cast in Raat Baaki.
- Dhoom Dhaam, released in 2024, is a reworked version of Raat Baaki.

Aditya Dhar's directorial aspirations in 2016 included a film titled Raat Baaki, slated to star Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Katrina Kaif. This ambitious project, backed by Dharma Productions, was set to begin filming by the end of 2016.
The geopolitical landscape shifted dramatically in September 2016 with the Uri attack, resulting in nationwide outrage and a ban on Pakistani artists working in India. This development tragically halted Dhar's debut film before it could commence production.
Years later, the narrative of Raat Baaki has been revived. The 2024 Netflix film Dhoom Dhaam, featuring Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi, is an updated iteration of Dhar's shelved project. Dhar himself confirmed that the story remains the same, albeit adapted for contemporary times, with Rishab Seth directing the reworked film.
