Dharma Productions Ventures into Fantasy Horror with 'Vishkanya'

Dharma Productions is expanding its genre offerings with a new fantasy horror film titled 'Vishkanya'. This ambitious project will feature Rajkummar Rao and Pratibha Ranta in lead roles. The film is designed to explore a unique mythic realm, moving beyond conventional horror tropes to weave in elements of dread and existential terror.

Directed by Sonal Joshi, who previously helmed 'Sukhee', 'Vishkanya' is slated to commence filming before the close of this year. Ranta, recently seen in 'Laapataa Ladies', will portray the titular character, marking her second project with Dharma Productions. This collaboration also signifies Rao's second film with the banner.

Alongside 'Vishkanya', Dharma Productions has several other genre projects lined up for release next year. These include the fantasy comedy 'Naagzilla', the Malayalam folk thriller 'Odiyan: The Age of Illusion', and two other horror films.
