Nearly a decade after "Dharma & Greg" concluded, stars Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson reprised their roles in a special cameo for "Two and a Half Men." Their appearance occurred during the Season 9 premiere, a highly anticipated episode as it was the first without Charlie Sheen, with Ashton Kutcher stepping in as the new lead.

Elfman and Gibson's characters briefly considered purchasing Charlie Harper's Malibu beach house before Kutcher's character, Walden Schmidt. Their cameo featured characteristic banter, with Elfman's character commenting on feng shui and Gibson's character lamenting the commute, even teasing a potential divorce.

To maintain the surprise, the actors filmed their scene on a closed set, separate from the main studio audience. This method ensured genuine audience reactions when the filmed segment was later shown. Non-disclosure agreements were signed by all involved to preserve the secrecy until the episode aired.
