Dhanush's Idli Kadai Surpasses Captain Miller at Global Box Office

As of 2025-10-16T10:17:10+00:00, the Dhanush and Nithya Menen-starrer Idli Kadai has crossed a respectable milestone at the worldwide box office. The film, which was released two weeks ago, has surpassed Dhanush's previous hit Captain Miller to become his 8th highest-grossing movie globally.

Unfortunately, Idli Kadai is being considered a big box office disappointment. Despite high expectations, the Tamil drama has failed to even reach the breakeven stage. In the last 15 days, the film has managed to accumulate a gross box office collection of 70.78 crores worldwide, with 58.63 crores coming from the domestic market and 12.15 crores from the overseas territories.

The film, which was reportedly mounted at a budget of 100 crores, has only recovered around 50% of its estimated cost so far. Industry experts predict that Idli Kadai will conclude its box office run in India as a flop. The makers are now hoping to surpass the collections of Dhanush's previous film Kuberaa, but that target seems out of reach as the movie is nearing its saturation at the ticket windows.
