Summary

- Filmmaker Kasthuri Raja confessed Dhanush was not keen on cinema.
- Selvaraghavan initially pursued engineering before cinema.

Filmmaker Kasthuri Raja recently shared insights into his son, Kollywood star Dhanush's, reluctant entry into the film industry. Raja stated that Dhanush did not want to be an actor and expressed a desire to leave the profession during his initial six films, even crying during the shooting of 'Thulluvadho Ilamai'.
Kasthuri Raja, who is also a filmmaker, explained that his elder son, Selvaraghavan, was an engineering medallist who initially pursued mechanical engineering. Raja admitted he was initially against his children entering cinema and kept them away from preview shows to encourage their studies.
He recounted convincing Selvaraghavan to complete his engineering degree by promising him a film career afterward. This strategy led Selvaraghavan to finish his education before embarking on his directorial path in the film industry.
