The highly anticipated spy actioner, tentatively titled D55, is currently in production with actor Dhanush. This project marks a significant collaboration as it features Dhanush alongside veteran actor Mammootty for the first time. Filming commenced with a traditional mahurat ceremony in February and has been underway in Chennai, where significant portions involving both stars have reportedly been completed.
The current filming schedule for D55 is slated to extend until the second week of July 2026. Following the scenes with Mammootty, Dhanush is expected to move on to shooting a song sequence with actress Sreeleela. The film's music is being composed by Sai Abhyankkar, who has reportedly completed two songs.
Adding another layer of excitement, actress Sai Pallavi is also confirmed to be part of D55. This will be her second collaboration with Dhanush, following their previous successful pairing in the film 'Maari 2'. The project is being produced under the banner of Wunderbar Films.
