Director S Mithran has confirmed that Dhanush and Kareena Kapoor are in advanced discussions to star in a Hindi film produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This collaboration would mark the first time Dhanush and Kapoor appear together on screen, and also their initial work with Bhansali. Mithran shared that talks are ongoing, with hopes for a positive outcome. The film, which has generated significant industry buzz since early August 2026, is rumored to be a grand mythological adventure set in a jungle.

Reports suggest the script is currently undergoing revisions, with pre-production scheduled to begin in November 2026. Principal photography is expected to commence in January 2027. This project would represent S Mithran's directorial debut in Bollywood. Kareena Kapoor's participation has not yet been officially confirmed.
