In a significant career move, French-Italian actress and model Deva Cassel has signed with Artist International Group for management. The 20-year-old Cassel, the daughter of renowned actors Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, has been steadily building her acting portfolio in recent years.
Most notably, Cassel recently starred as Angelica Sedara in the Netflix limited series The Leopard, a modern reimagining of the classic Sicilian saga. Later this year, she will also appear in the historical film Zero A.D., which recently wrapped production in Morocco.
However, Cassel's most high-profile role to date will be in an upcoming French-language remake of the classic story The Phantom of the Opera. Cassel will play the lead role of Anastasia, an 18-year-old ballet dancer who arrives in Paris and becomes entangled in a love story with the mysterious Phantom. The film will also star Romain Duris, Julien De Saint-Jean, and ballet artists Guillaume Diop and Dorothée Gilbert. Principal photography began in August at the historic Palais Garnier opera house in Paris, with a theatrical release set for September 23, 2026.
With her growing list of credits and her signing with a major management firm, Deva Cassel is poised to become a rising star in the entertainment industry, following in the footsteps of her famous parents.
