The emotional moment occurred as celebrity contestant Jordan Chiles performed a Viennese Waltz with her father Timothy Chiles. Following their touching father-daughter dance, Hough admitted that the performance made him excited to have a similar experience with his own child. "Watching you two dance really made me excited to have my own moment with my -- " Hough said, before stopping himself from saying "daughter."
Hough and Erbert, who have been married since 2022, announced in July 2025 that they are expecting their first baby together. The couple has not yet revealed the sex of the child, but Hough's slip-up during the live broadcast suggests they may be having a daughter.
"It's so beautiful," Hough added after his almost-reveal. "There was a tenderness. It was simple. There was a care to it, and I hope you both cherish that moment."
