Deorro's Remarkable Journey: From Church Choir to Vegas Superstar

Deorro, a Mexican-American DJ, has undergone a remarkable journey from his humble beginnings in a church choir to becoming a globally renowned EDM superstar. As a teenager in the 1990s, Deorro would accompany his parents to choir practice, where he would explore the church's music room, experimenting with various instruments and laying the foundation for his lifelong love of music.

Deorro's first rave experience in the early 2000s opened his eyes to the vast world of electronic music, inspiring him to pursue a career as a DJ. Despite facing the challenge of becoming a young father and considering a more stable path as a nurse, Deorro ultimately decided to risk it all and pursue his dream of becoming a professional DJ. His breakthrough moment came in 2012 at the Good Life Festival in Melbourne, Australia, where his song "Big Fat" had gone viral internationally, and he was greeted by a crowd of 40,000 people, a far cry from the 200-person crowds he was used to in the United States.

He has also remained committed to incorporating his Mexican-American heritage into his music, blending Spanish and English lyrics and working with international musicians.
