- Unprecedented 155K screenings available for pre-sale

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the highly anticipated sequel to the hit anime film, is gearing up for a massive release in China on November 14, 2025. In the lead-up to its debut, the film has already achieved several milestones, setting new records for anime films at the Chinese box office.
According to the latest reports, Infinity Castle has registered pre-sales worth $20.98 million for the period between November 13-16, 2025. The film has also added an additional $2.58 million to its pre-sale kitty on the 8th day of advance booking. With one more day to go, Akaza's Return has already surpassed the pre-sales of Suzume, which stood at $17.1 million, and is on track to exceed its opening weekend of $49.9 million.
Remarkably, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has become the first and only anime film in history to cross the $20 million mark in pre-sales at the Chinese box office. The Ufotable production has also secured an unprecedented 155K screenings for pre-sales, a feat unmatched by any other non-Chinese film.
Based on the current trends, industry analysts predict that Infinity Castle could open in the range of $60-95 million in its first weekend, potentially surpassing the opening weekend numbers of Avatar - The Way Of Water ($57.1 million) and Godzilla vs Kong ($69.2 million). If it achieves this milestone, the film will become the second-biggest opening weekend for a non-Chinese film in the post-COVID era, trailing only behind the record set by F9 ($136.1 million).
