Demi Moore Sides with Daughter in Custody Fight

Demi Moore has publicly supported her daughter, Rumer Willis, amid a difficult custody dispute with Rumer's ex-partner, Derek Richard Thomas, over their daughter Louetta. Court documents obtained recently reveal Rumer's accusations of "insane emotional abuse" and "erratic and bizarre" behavior from Thomas, which allegedly escalated after Louetta's birth in April 2023.

Moore corroborated these claims in a sworn declaration, detailing an incident where Thomas allegedly "aggressively" entered the birthing tub without showering, upsetting Rumer and disrupting the event. She further described Thomas as acting angry and pouty, making the moment about himself, and later complaining about family members being present to offer support after the birth.

Moore also accused Thomas of trying to isolate Rumer from her family and of bringing Louetta back to Rumer's home in an unclean state, with soiled diapers and car seats. She alleged Thomas made no financial or physical contributions to Louetta's care and stressed Rumer's sole responsibility. Thomas's legal representative has strongly denied the accusations, calling them "inaccurate and false" and stating they will be disproven in court, emphasizing Thomas's role as a devoted father.
