Delhi Crime 3 Cast Demands Fairer Work Hours: 12-Hour Shifts Unsustainable

In a recent interview, the cast of the upcoming Netflix series Delhi Crime 3 spoke out against the industry's demanding work schedules. According to the actors, 12-hour shifts on set are becoming the norm, which they say is not sustainable.

Shefali Shah expressed that while the team understands the need for occasional longer hours, it should not be an everyday occurrence. "It can't be an everyday thing; it's not fair," she stated. Her co-star Rasika Dugal echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need for clear rules and systems to prevent exploitation of workers.

The actors also addressed the common perception that delays are often caused by stars taking too long with hair and makeup. Sayani Gupta pointed out that this is an unfair generalization, as the time required for these tasks is crucial for building a character. Director Tanuj Chopra added that makeup is often undervalued, despite being as important as lighting.

Rasika Dugal further clarified that no one actually enjoys the lengthy hair and makeup process. "It's part of the job which we are asked to do," she said. Shefali Shah shared her own experience of having to travel long distances just to use the restroom during a shoot, highlighting the challenging working conditions.
