In October 2025, a new horror project titled "FOMO" is generating buzz in the entertainment industry. Billed as a chilling blend of "Midsommar" and "Squid Game," the story follows a group of friends who embark on a party trip to the Greek islands. However, their carefree vacation takes a sinister turn when they realize they've become unwilling participants in an ancient ritual with deadly consequences.
The project is the brainchild of writer Yalun Tu, known for his work on the upcoming Hulu series "The Season" and Amazon Japan's "My Undead Yokai Girlfriend." Joining Tu is director Harder, who has garnered acclaim for his Shudder horror thriller "Influencer" and its sequel.
In "FOMO," the friends must survive a series of hedonistic trials in order to be rewarded with an endless lifetime of pleasure. Fail, and they will be offered as a sacrifice to the gods. The party only ends when the last man is standing, leaving the survivors to grapple with the horrifying truth of their ordeal.
With its unique premise and talented creative team, "FOMO" is poised to captivate audiences when it debuts in 2024, promising a chilling and suspenseful experience that blends elements of classic horror with contemporary social commentary.
