DC Box Office: Three Weeks, Still Not Beating Bhool Chuk Maaf
28 Aug
Summary
- DC film has grossed 103.12 crore worldwide in three weeks.
- The movie's collections have slowed, making it unlikely to surpass Bhool Chuk Maaf.
- Toxic's release on August 26 impacted DC's box office performance.
Lokesh Kanagaraj's acting debut, DC, has completed its third week at the box office, accumulating a worldwide gross of 103.12 crore. The film has garnered 67.64 crore net within India and an additional 23.3 crore from overseas markets. Its week-wise collections were 41.9 crore for the first week, 19.59 crore for the second, and 6.15 crore for the third.
While DC is considered a box office hit, its trajectory has shifted, particularly following the release of the Yash-starrer Toxic on August 26. This has led to a dip in DC's collections, making it improbable for the film to reach the earnings of Wamiqa Gabbi's Bhool Chuk Maaf, which had a net India collection of 74.81 crore. DC is currently 7.17 crore short of this mark, and with diminishing collections expected in its fourth week, surpassing this milestone appears unlikely before its OTT release.
