'DC' Roars Past ₹50 Crore Mark in India

The film's performance on its second Saturday, Day 9, was particularly strong, with earnings of ₹5.50 crore. This figure represents a remarkable 92.3% increase compared to the ₹2.86 crore collected on Day 8.
The latest figures bring the movie's total India net collection to ₹50.26 crore, with its India gross collection reaching ₹57.85 crore. Overseas markets added approximately ₹1.50 crore on Day 9, pushing the total overseas gross collection to ₹20.25 crore. Consequently, 'DC' has achieved a worldwide gross of ₹78.10 crore.
Regional performances on Day 9 were led by Tamil Nadu, which contributed ₹2.00 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added ₹1.75 crore, while Kerala also registered ₹1.75 crore. Karnataka contributed ₹75 lakhs, and the rest of India added ₹13 lakhs, collectively generating ₹6.38 crore for the day.
In contrast, R. Madhavan's film 'GDN' has achieved a more modest performance, with a total India net collection of ₹4.76 crore so far. Suriya and Mamitha Baiju's 'Vishwanath and Sons' had a strong opening weekend, earning ₹22.25 crore net in India on its second day. Vijay's previous film, 'Jana Nayagan', has seen its box office grip weaken.
