- James Van Der Beek reprising role as Noah Beck's character's dad
- Sequel to 2024 movie Sidelined: The QB and Me
- Film set to premiere on Tubi next month

In October 2025, Tubi offered a first look at the upcoming movie Sidelined 2: Intercepted, which is a sequel to the 2024 film Sidelined: The QB and Me. The new movie will feature James Van Der Beek, known for his role in the 1990s TV series Dawson's Creek, reprising his role as Leroy Lahey, the father of the lead character played by Noah Beck.
The first Sidelined movie, released last year, starred Beck and Siena Agudong. For the sequel, a newly released still from the film shows Beck, now 24 years old, in a University of Southern California football jersey standing alongside Van Der Beek on a football field while being interviewed. The movie is set to premiere on the streaming platform Tubi next month.
Beck, who is excited about the project, shared a behind-the-scenes look at himself and Van Der Beek on set this past April when filming officially wrapped. He expressed his gratitude for the love and support the first film received and his anticipation for fans to experience the "ups and downs of college life" with his character Drayton in the sequel.
