David Walliams Tour Cancelled Amidst Career Setbacks
18 Mar
Summary
- Remaining shows of David Walliams' live theatre tour cancelled.
- Tour dates reportedly axed due to poor ticket sales.
- Walliams faces ongoing career setbacks and allegations.

The remaining dates of David Walliams' one-man theatre show, "An Audience with David Walliams," have reportedly been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Events scheduled in Exeter and London were axed, with ticket websites indicating unavailability and box offices confirming cancellation by the promoter.
This cancellation marks another significant setback for the children's author and television personality. Walliams has faced a series of career blows in recent years, including being dropped by Britain's Got Talent, his publisher HarperCollins, and several charities over allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
Last month, it was reported that only 340 tickets had been sold for the Exeter show, which has a capacity of 1,000. Walliams' publisher dropped him in November 2025 following harassment allegations from former junior female staff members.
Concerns about his behaviour had been raised previously, with former employees advised to work in pairs when with him. Walliams has denied wrongdoing, with his spokesman stating he was unaware of any formal investigation and was taking legal advice.
In addition to his publisher, the BBC has indicated no future projects are planned with Walliams, although he appeared in a Christmas special. His past work, including the sketch show Little Britain, has faced criticism for being racist, sexist, and homophobic, leading to its removal from streaming platforms.
Furthermore, Walliams has been removed as a patron or ambassador from several charities, including The Candy Foundation and MGC Futures, with The Children's Trust also reviewing his dormant patron role. These losses come despite his past charity work, for which he was appointed an OBE in 2017.
