David Bisbal's tenth studio album, 'Eternos,' released on October 1, is a heartfelt tribute to the golden age of romantic pop. The album features 10 classics from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, originally popularized by legendary artists. Bisbal approached these songs by imagining the composers had written them directly for him, allowing for personal interpretation while respecting original melodies and arrangements.
To capture the authentic sound of decades past, Bisbal collaborated with producer Cheche Alara, utilizing large instrumental ensembles. Sessions involved bringing musicians together to play live, with some tracks featuring over 90 musicians. The core of the album was recorded at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles, with strings and brass sections added later in Budapest.
One particularly poignant track is "Amor Eterno." While recording it, Bisbal's father was experiencing health issues. Following his father's passing in February, the song took on a profound new meaning for Bisbal, transforming into a personal elegy. The album also highlights the prolific songwriter Manuel Alejandro, whose tracks are prominently featured.
The 'Eternos' tour commences on October 6 in Santiago, Chile. Following its Latin American leg, the tour will extend to Mexico and the United States. Spain's dates are slated for the summer of 2027, offering fans across continents the opportunity to experience Bisbal's reimagined classics live.
