Daveigh Chase, known for her voice work on 'Lilo & Stitch,' died on June 16, 2026, in Los Angeles. She was 35 years old. Chase's passing was attributed to complications from AIDS and chronic polysubstance use.
At the time of her death, Chase was experiencing homelessness, though her last known address was in Chatsworth, California. She died without a will, prompting her mother, Cathy, to file a petition with the Los Angeles Superior Court on July 8, 2026.
The petition seeks court authorization for Chase's mother to manage her daughter's estate, valued at approximately USD 400,000 in personal property. A hearing is scheduled for August 12, 2026, to address the matter and approve a USD 400,000 bond.
Chase's mother has spoken about her daughter's struggles with addiction, which reportedly began after a motorcycle accident in 2016 led to prescription medication use. Chase is survived by her parents; she was not married and had no children.
