An iconic lightsaber wielded by Darth Vader during the pivotal "I am your father" scene is poised to be a star attraction at an upcoming Heritage Auctions event. This legendary prop, also seen in Return of the Jedi, is anticipated to command a bid of at least $1 million.
The auction will feature over two dozen lightsaber props spanning the entire Star Wars saga, from Episode I to IX, along with other items from the Star Wars universe. Other notable items include lightsabers used by Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, each estimated to fetch over $10,000.
This event follows a record-setting sale in July, where a lightsaber prop featuring Luke Skywalker's severed hand from The Empire Strikes Back sold for an astounding $3.75 million. Additionally, Boba Fett's EE-3 carbine blaster from The Empire Strikes Back is estimated to exceed $100,000, and a Yoda puppet hand from the same film will also be available.
