Josephine Parker is set to star in "Side Effects" (Fristelsen), a new Danish crime drama series focusing on an investigation into lethal synthetic drugs. Parker will portray Nora Søby, the lead investigator for Denmark's premier crime unit. The Danish network TV2 has commissioned the show, with Miso Film producing and receiving support from the Danish Film Institute. Shooting is slated to commence in the spring.
TV2's senior executive producer, Sara Askelöf, described "Side Effects" as a crime series confronting a stark reality, addressing drug-related crime and addiction as pressing societal concerns. Producer Jonas Allen from Miso Film added that the high-end Nordic Noir crime-thriller meticulously portrays the systematic investigation of organized drug crime, exposing its widespread societal impact.
