Daniel Kaluuya will mark his United States stage debut in "Grass," a new play premiering in February. This production, commissioned by Park Avenue Armory and the National Black Theatre, is specifically written for the Armory's expansive stage.
The narrative follows Kaluuya as he undertakes a fantastical road trip with his mother across the American South. Their objective is to reconstruct their family tree, encountering a series of historical and allegorical figures.
The play reunites the creative team behind Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Obie award-winning "An Octoroon," with direction by Sarah Benson and set design by Mimi Lien.
Park Avenue Armory's 2027 season also includes "Peace Camp: A Vigil," "Einstein on the Beach," "Guernica Guernica," and "Audience Plant 2027."
