Kendall Vertes, the former Dance Moms star, is taking a new step in her career by launching a podcast called "Not So Little" on November 13th. The 22-year-old is eager to share her life after reality TV and showcase her true personality beyond the "crying" moments seen on the show.
Vertes' podcast, which will release new episodes each Thursday, is named in reference to an iconic line spoken by her mother, Jill Vertes, during Dance Moms' second season. The title reflects Vertes' desire to move past her childhood stardom and discuss her transition into adulthood, including her life after graduating college and leaving the reality TV world in 2017.
Vertes promises a "vlog-esque" style for the podcast, incorporating her travels and daily routine into more standard conversations with a rotating cast of "familiar faces" and new guests. She aims to offer a more mature and well-rounded perspective, giving her audience a deeper insight into who she truly is as a person.
"All [Dance Moms fans] saw was 45 minutes of me basically crying ... They didn't get to see my full personality," Vertes explains. "I was 8 years old. I never spoke. We were never really allowed to speak until later on in the seasons." Now, she's eager to share the other 80% of her personality that viewers never saw on the show.
