Summary
- Dakota Fanning treats child actors like any other coworker
- Fanning and Sarah Snook built organic on-screen bond off-camera
- Fanning's new thriller series "All Her Fault" premieres on Peacock

In a recent interview, acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning shared insights into her approach to mentoring young actors, drawing from her own experiences as a former child star. Fanning, who co-starred with Hollywood heavyweights like Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington before the age of 12, says she treats child actors just like any other coworker.
"I sort of just treat them how I would treat any other actor. I think that's what I appreciated when I was younger, so I just kind of go with that," Fanning explained. This approach seems to have paid off, as Fanning and her co-star Sarah Snook were able to build an organic on-screen bond by getting to know each other off-camera prior to filming their new Peacock series "All Her Fault."
"Both of our first days on the series ... was the scene where our characters meet for the first time. And so I think [it] was really helpful to get to know each other on set and then kind of have our first moment of playing these characters before the sort of mystery thriller part started, and just kind of see who these women are and see that bond," Fanning said.
The 31-year-old actress is currently promoting "All Her Fault," a tense thriller about an abducted child. The show, which also stars Jake Lacy, Abby Elliott, Sophia Lillis and Michael Peña, is led by Succession's Sarah Snook.
