On October 17, 2025, the Daily Wire announced the upcoming premiere of its first live-action scripted series, 'The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin'. The fantasy drama, based on a series of novels by Stephen R. Lawhead, is set to debut on the conservative outlet's SVOD platform, DailyWire+, on January 22, 2025.
The show, created and executive produced by Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing, is a retelling of the Arthurian legend set in the Roman-dominated land that will eventually become Britain during the fourth through sixth centuries. Boreing described the series as "the culmination of a 10-year vision to create culture, not just to criticize it," adding that Lawhead's novels present a "visceral, masculine Christianity in a world of conflict and mystery."
The Pendragon Cycle features a talented cast, including Tom Sharp as Merlin, alongside Rose Reid, James Arden, Finney Cassidy, and others. The series is the biggest swing for the Daily Wire in the TV arena, as the company has primarily focused on feature films and animated series in the past.
