Dacoit Box Office Slows, But Crosses Global Milestone
27 Apr
Summary
- Film's daily collections declining after initial steady performance.
- Worldwide gross collection has surpassed Rs 54 crore.
- Performances by Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap reviewed.

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's film 'Dacoit' has seen a noticeable slowdown in its box office performance recently. After an initial steady run, the film's daily earnings have begun to decline, with collections on day 17 reportedly around Rs 44 lakhs. This downward trend was evident in the preceding days as well.
Despite the recent dip in ticket sales, 'Dacoit' has achieved a significant global financial milestone. The movie has garnered Rs 40.94 crore in gross collections within India and an additional Rs 13.58 crore from overseas markets. This brings the film's total worldwide gross earnings to an impressive Rs 54.52 crore.
Reviewers have noted strong performances, particularly from Mrunal Thakur. However, the film's script faced criticism for its limitations, with some characters like Anurag Kashyap's cop appearing more like unintentional caricatures. Prakash Raj's role also offered little new. While the film attempts to tap into the current trend of stylized action cinema, tighter writing was suggested to enhance the impact of its twists.
