Brandon Curiel, the brother of rapper DaBaby's ex-girlfriend DaniLeigh, has testified about alleged threats made by the rapper prior to a physical fight at a Los Angeles bowling alley in 2022. Curiel stated he had a public dispute with DaBaby due to the rapper allegedly disrespecting and humiliating DaniLeigh online. During their encounter at the bowling alley, Curiel claims DaBaby approached him and said, "I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit."
Curiel testified that DaBaby initiated the physical confrontation by throwing the first punch, after which others in DaBaby's entourage allegedly joined in. During the scuffle, Curiel also claimed a girl grabbed one of his gold chains. A lawsuit was filed by Curiel against DaBaby concerning this incident. DaBaby's legal team contended that Curiel was the instigator. The case faced dismissal but was later revived, and a final resolution has not yet been reached.
