On November 17, 2025, Cynthia Erivo, the 38-year-old Oscar-nominated actress, arrived at the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good in a show-stopping custom Balenciaga ensemble. Erivo's look, which featured a black gown with a feather-trimmed turtleneck cape and a pleated drop waist skirt with a train, paid homage to her character Elphaba.
Unfortunately, Erivo had lost her voice earlier in the day, and she and her co-star Ariana Grande decided to skip interviews at the event. Despite the ups and downs their characters face on screen, Grande and Erivo's connection behind the cameras has remained steadfast, and they have embraced a method-dressing approach for their Wicked press tours.
The Wicked: For Good premiere also saw the attendance of other cast members, including Jonathan Bailey, Jon M. Chu, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Colman Domingo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. The film, which picks up after the events of Wicked: Part One, is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025.
