Cyndi Lauper, known for her Brooklyn roots, brought her signature attitude to her first Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. During the show on Friday, she was interrupted while introducing her song 'Sally's Pigeons.' Lauper paused her performance to directly address a disruptive fan in the audience.
"I don't know what the fuck you're saying, hon," Lauper stated in a video of the incident. She issued a stern warning, "if you're trying to shade me, bitch, I'm gonna come for you." She humorously added that she might even "do a tap dance" if she felt like talking, referencing her Brooklyn upbringing.
The residency, titled "Cyndi Lauper: Live in Las Vegas," is scheduled to run through May 2. This engagement follows Lauper's extensive "Girls Just Want to Have Fun Farewell Tour," which concluded in August after 69 shows. The tour's final performances were at the Hollywood Bowl, where a CBS special was taped. In November, Lauper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
