Cybill Shepherd recently shared reflections on her iconic role in the 1980s dramedy series Moonlighting, a show that combined mystery and comedy with its lead actors, herself and Bruce Willis.
Shepherd noted that despite the show's success, filming was challenging due to heavy workloads and scheduling conflicts. Years ago, Shepherd and Willis reconciled, with Shepherd expressing how important Willis was to her. This reconciliation occurred in the months before Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Moonlighting, which debuted in the 1980s, followed the cases of the Blue Moon Detective Agency. The series, which won six Emmys, was added to Hulu in 2023, reaching a new audience.
Shepherd attended the 2026 Race to Erase MS Gala on June 5, 2026, an event founded by Nancy Davis to support multiple sclerosis research. The gala has facilitated 25 FDA-approved treatments through its "Center Without Walls" program.
At the 2026 gala, $1.8 million was raised. Notable attendees included Jane Seymour and Kathy Hilton, who contributed to a live auction that featured performances by Ty Dolla Sign and Richie Sambora, among others.
