The Cure Unveils Remastered Concert Film for Global Premiere

In a treat for fans, The Cure is preparing to release a remastered concert film that captures their intimate performance at the Troxy in London on November 1, 2024. The film, titled "The Show of a Lost World," will give audiences worldwide the opportunity to experience the band's full live set, which included the debut performance of their latest album "Songs of a Lost World."

Alongside the new material, the concert film also features a special five-song set celebrating the 45th anniversary of The Cure's iconic sophomore album "Seventeen Seconds." Fans can also look forward to hearing classic hits and fan favorites from the band's nearly five-decade career, such as "Boys Don't Cry," "In Between Days," and "Disintegration."

The recut, remixed, and 4K remastered concert film was directed by Nick Wickham, who has previously helmed live shows for the likes of Madonna, Rihanna, and Beyoncé. The audio has also been given a new surround sound mix by The Cure's own Robert Smith. Tickets for the global cinema premiere of "The Show of a Lost World" will go on sale on November 20th, allowing fans to witness this extraordinary concert on the big screen.

The release of the concert film comes as The Cure hinted at the possibility of a new studio album in the near future. According to an updated bio on their official website, the band returned to Rockfield Studios in March 2025 to record 13 more songs for a follow-up to their 2024 album "Songs of a Lost World." Fans can also look forward to seeing The Cure live next summer, as the band is set to embark on a European and UK tour, including a headlining slot at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
