Alan Cumming, host of The Traitors, has revealed his dream casting choice for the show: Nicole Kidman. Cumming envisions the Oscar-winning actress joining the castle, perhaps in a distinctive green cloak. This aspiration comes as The Traitors celebrated its third consecutive win for Outstanding Reality Competition Program at the Emmys on September 14, 2026.

Cumming also secured his third Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program. The series has recently introduced "The Traitors: New Blood," an all-civilian edition that premiered on NBC on September 17, 2026. Cumming described this new season as more exciting due to the increased stakes and passion of the everyday Americans cast.

Despite initial plans to "tone down" the show for the civilian cast, Cumming admitted the concept "failed" and the show has not calmed down.
