Summary
- Cruz Beckham, 20, had his license revoked after receiving second speeding ticket
- Beckham shared on Instagram he was "just got done for doing 24 in a 20"
- Close to 500,000 speeding tickets issued for 20mph zones in the past year

As of November 16th, 2025, Cruz Beckham, the 20-year-old son of former footballer Sir David Beckham, has had his driver's license revoked after receiving his second speeding ticket. Beckham, who passed his driving test just two years ago, shared on his Instagram page on September 2nd that he had "just got done for doing 24 in a 20", referring to being caught driving 24mph in a 20mph zone.
This latest offense has led to the DVLA, the UK's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, revoking Beckham's license. According to the agency, a driver's license is revoked if they accumulate six or more penalty points within two years of passing their test. A source close to Beckham stated that he is "gutted about it", as the speeding tickets were "so easy to come by these days with 20mph zones".
The news comes as latest figures show close to 500,000 speeding tickets were issued for drivers caught breaking the 20mph limit last year, a rise of two-thirds more than in the previous 12 months. Beckham will now have to go through the process of reapplying for a provisional license and retaking both his theory and practical driving tests before he is allowed behind the wheel again.
