Summary
- Netflix's 'The Crown' may return for a revival focusing on Prince Andrew.
- The potential revival follows Andrew's arrest on February 19.
- Andrew was previously stripped of titles due to Jeffrey Epstein association.

Talks are reportedly underway for a potential revival of Netflix's 'The Crown,' focusing on recent events. The production company behind the popular series is considering a limited series examining the fallout from the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on February 19. He was taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
This development comes after Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and honors in October 2025 due to his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. His arrest and subsequent release occurred on his 66th birthday. This would not be the first time Andrew's public actions have been adapted for television.
Previously, Netflix dramatized the lead-up to his 2019 interview about Jeffrey Epstein in the drama 'Scoop,' released in April 2024. Prime Video also released 'A Very Royal Scandal,' starring Michael Sheen as Andrew. Writer Jeremy Brock indicated that executives are discussing a drama based on Andrew's continued downfall.
The original series of 'The Crown' concluded its run in 2005, with creators stating a desire to keep the historical narrative distinct from current events. Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos noted in 2023 that ending the series almost 20 years prior maintained a sense of dignity.
