Crookhaven, an eight-part drama series, is set to captivate audiences when it launches on the BBC early next year. The show, based on JJ Arcanjo's genre-flipping high school novel, has been created for television by Justin Young and is being produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family with support from Northern Ireland Screen.
The series follows a group of students at a secret school for crooks, where they are taught to perfect their skills in order to bring balance, justice, and order to the outside world. However, as the students uncover the dark secrets of Crookhaven, they are confronted by a terrifying enemy, The Nameless.
The talented cast is led by Dougray Scott (Crime, Vigil) as Caspian Lockett, the headmaster and leader of the secretive Crookhaven school. He is joined by Keith Allen (Shallow Grave, Trainspotting) as Head of Security Erasmus Sisman and Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black, In the Name of the King) as Caspian's wife, Carmen.
The first-look images from the series promise a morally complex mystery with twists and turns, as the students navigate the challenges of their unique school and confront the terrifying enemy that threatens to disrupt their world.
