Summary
- Crime 101 hit No. 1 on Prime Video charts in 51 countries.
- Mercy dominated charts for only one week after its release.
- Both films had underwhelming theatrical box office performances.

Chris Hemsworth's new crime drama, "Crime 101," has claimed the top spot on Prime Video's charts, a victory over Chris Pratt's science fiction film "Mercy." "Crime 101" debuted at No. 1 in 29 countries and has since expanded its reach to 51 territories as of April 3, 2026. This move ended "Mercy's" short week-long domination on the streaming platform.
Both films faced significant challenges during their theatrical releases. "Crime 101," produced with a $90 million budget, grossed $71.7 million worldwide, falling short of the estimated $225 million needed to break even. Despite its commercial underperformance, the film received strong reviews, holding an 89% Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. "Mercy," with a $60 million budget, earned only $54.3 million globally and garnered a mixed critical reception, scoring a 25% from critics but an 82% from audiences.
While "Mercy" underperformed, Chris Pratt is also experiencing success with "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," which has grossed $59 million domestically since its April 1, 2026 release. Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Thor in the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday" in December 2026. Chris Pratt's return as Star-Lord in the film remains unconfirmed, despite a tease in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3."
