Netflix has released the trailer for its new young adult series, 'Crew Girl,' focusing on the world of competitive rowing. The series centers on Teagan Tao, portrayed by Miku Martineau, a talented rower whose future is derailed by a family scandal.
Forced to move to the east coast with her mother, Teagan begins anew at Easton Prep. She discovers there is no girls' rowing team, presenting an immediate obstacle to her passion. Her only recourse is to become the coxswain for the school's struggling boys' varsity crew.
Thrust into an environment of privilege and intense rivalry, Teagan faces the challenge of leading a team resistant to her command. She must also balance her personal rowing aspirations with the demands of the crew, all while dealing with escalating family issues. Adding to the drama, she becomes entangled with two of the team's most competitive members.
'Crew Girl,' developed by Vivian Lin and Morwyn Brebner, features an ensemble cast including Jessica Paré, Sam Braun, and Kyle Clark. The eight-episode first season is set to premiere on Netflix on September 10, 2026.
