Set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2026, "Coven Academy" is a new series greenlit in August 2025. The show unfolds in New Orleans, following three teenage witches and their warlock peers at an elite magic school. In this academy, power is currency, secrets are lethal, and attraction is a dangerous liability. The young witches must balance ancient supernatural wars with forbidden romances while protecting their city. Devon Sawa has been cast as Mr. Cole, an "effortlessly cool" teacher at Coven Academy. He is described as a protective warlock who can both humorously critique and safeguard his students. Mr. Cole and the faculty face unexpected challenges with the arrival of a new student who threatens the established order. The series' main cast includes Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, and Tiffani Thiessen. Tim Federle created the series and serves as an executive producer.
