Jason Alexander has issued an apology to Courtney Stodden following her public call-out regarding an inappropriate 2012 Funny or Die sketch. Stodden, who was 17 at the time of filming, revealed Alexander rubbed a cellphone across her breast, claiming there was "no signal" in her head but "plenty of signal" in her chest. He also made a sexually suggestive comment about wanting to "have his way" with her after she turned 18.

Alexander, a writer for the sketch, has since stated he completely agrees the sketch was inappropriate and deeply regrets his actions. Stodden, who married her ex-husband Doug Hutchison at 16, highlights that as a minor, she lacked the legal capacity to consent, with contracts signed and paychecks handled by adults. She feels deeply alone looking back, viewing it not as comedy but as an adult joke at a child's expense.
