Summary
- Country singer Morgan Wallen arrested in 2024 at Nashville bar
- Wallen heard his own song playing on the radio in the cop car
- Wallen later pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment charges

According to newly released police footage, in 2024, country singer Morgan Wallen was arrested at a Nashville bar co-owned by fellow singer Eric Church. The footage shows Wallen being loaded into a cop car, where he excitedly exclaims upon hearing his own song playing on the radio. "This is me and Thomas Rhett," Wallen can be heard saying, referring to his 2023 duet with Rhett. "Turn it up! That's me and T.R."
Wallen was initially stopped by officers who were investigating how a chair had moved from the roof of the bar to the ground near a patrol car. Wallen initially denied any involvement, but was later told that camera footage showed him throwing the chair. He was then handcuffed and arrested.
In December 2024, Wallen pleaded guilty to charges of reckless endangerment. He was sentenced to two years of probation, one week at a DUI education center, and ordered to pay a $350 fine and court fees. Wallen publicly apologized about two weeks after the incident, saying he had "the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe."
