In a surprising move, former Coronation Street actress Charlotte Jordan, 31, has departed the BBC Radio 4 soap The Archers to take on a role in the new BBC period drama The Hairdresser Mysteries. Jordan had joined The Archers just a month after leaving her four-year stint on the cobbles of Coronation Street in May 2025.
However, the actress was forced to abruptly leave The Archers in October 2025 after accepting the part in the new BBC show. Bosses had to recast the role of Amber Gordon, with Olivia Bernstone stepping in to replace Jordan.
