Conjuring: Last Rites Nears Aladdin's Global Box Office Record

The supernatural horror film The Conjuring: Last Rites has been making waves at the global box office, inching closer to surpassing Disney's 1992 blockbuster Aladdin. As of November 10, 2025, the film has completed nine weeks in theaters and amassed a worldwide total of $492.7 million, making it the highest-grossing horror title of the year.

Under the 2.5x multiplier break-even rule, Last Rites has generated an estimated $355.2 million in profit. While it currently trails Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps ($521.9 million) at the global box office, surpassing that milestone seems unlikely at this stage. Even so, the film has already outperformed several popular past hits, including Jaws, War for the Planet of the Apes, Shrek, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Now, the supernatural blockbuster is closing in on Disney's 1992 animated classic Aladdin, needing to earn just $11.4 million more to outgross it globally. Given that Last Rites is in the final stretch of its theatrical run, overtaking Aladdin appears challenging, though the final verdict will become clear in the coming weeks. The film also finds itself just behind the 2010 action-fantasy Clash of the Titans, which earned $493.2 million worldwide, but is expected to surpass that milestone before completing its run.
