- Plot follows psychiatrist investigating disturbing experiments at a facility.

Currently in production in Miami, the psychological horror-thriller "Compound 9" draws inspiration from William Peter Blatty's acclaimed 1980 film "The Ninth Configuration." The story is set in the post-Vietnam War era, focusing on a group of Marine veterans grappling with severe psychological trauma. These individuals are housed within a secluded government facility.
Daniel Webber stars as Dr. Mark Connors, a military psychiatrist tasked with evaluating the veterans. His investigation quickly becomes entangled in a deeply unsettling experiment. The facility is overseen by Col. Dr. Morton Phillips, played by Dermot Mulroney, who directs its experimental treatment program. Katheryn Winnick portrays Riley, a nurse with a shadowed past connected to the compound.
Director Rodrigo H. Vila described the adaptation as pushing Blatty's ideas into new territory, creating an experience that questions every assumption. "Compound 9" is produced by Lía Rodríguez and Pilar de Posadas through Unfolding Content. Moonrise Media is managing worldwide distribution and will present the film's initial footage to international buyers at AFM this November.
