Rohrwacher's Marriage Drama Lands Global Sales

Italian sales company True Colours has secured worldwide distribution rights, excluding Italy, for Anna Foglietta's directorial debut, "A Common Story." Foglietta, an acclaimed actress, transitions to directing with this intimate drama.
The film features Alba Rohrwacher as Erika and Guido Caprino as Mauro. Their seemingly simple life in the countryside is shaken when their daughter departs for university, leaving an empty nest. This leads to a significant marital crisis.
"A Common Story" will have its world premiere in September at the Venice Film Festival's Horizons section. Subsequently, it will be showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival's Discovery section for its North American debut.
The production is backed by HT Film, Indigo Film, Tenderstories, and Blu One Lab, with support from RAI Cinema and HBO Max. BIM Distribuzione is slated to release the film within Italy.
