Comedian's Lace-Front Wig Lifts Up During Meet-and-Greet with Rapper
27 Sep, 2025
Summary
- Sherri Shepherd's wig lifted up during a meet-and-greet with rapper Doug E. Fresh
- Shepherd was dancing at the Doug E. Fresh concert and sweating heavily
- Doug E. Fresh was focused on Shepherd's wig, not her
In September 2025, comedian Sherri Shepherd recounted a recent beauty mishap that occurred during a Doug E. Fresh concert. Shepherd explained that she had been enjoying the performance, dancing and sweating heavily throughout the night. At the end of the show, Doug E. Fresh's team invited Shepherd to meet the rapper.
During the meet-and-greet, Shepherd noticed that the lace on her wig had lifted up, exposing her scalp. Shepherd likened the wig malfunction to a broken screen door, saying she could easily lift the wig right off her head. She was surprised that no one had pointed out the issue to her during the encounter.
Shepherd even thought that Doug E. Fresh might have been romantically interested in her, as he seemed to be staring at her intently. However, it turned out the rapper was simply focused on making sure Shepherd's wig didn't "holla back" at him. In the end, Shepherd's wig mishap, rather than any potential connection with the musician, was the main takeaway from the event.
