Rangayana Dharwad has announced plans to initiate a statewide college theatre festival. This initiative will feature competitions organized at district, divisional, and state levels, with colleges soon to be contacted. The festival aims to immerse students in theatre and stagecraft during their academic careers, fostering a lifelong connection with the art form.
Furthermore, a multilingual theatre festival titled Ranga Dhwani is set to be organized. Its purpose is to encourage audiences to experience plays presented in various languages, celebrating the diverse artistic styles and cultural perspectives found in traditions like Malayalam and Marathi theatre.
Rangayana seeks to cultivate an environment where theatre garners enthusiasm akin to cinema. However, financial constraints pose a challenge, making grants and governmental support essential for staging theatre activities and implementing these projects. Efforts are underway to secure such assistance.
